   Based on affirmative final determinations by the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) and the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), Commerce is issuing antidumping duty (AD) orders on silicon metal from Angola and the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Laos).

   The U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) determines that silicon metal from the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Laos) is being, or is likely to be, sold in the United States at less than fair value (LTFV). The period of investigation is October 1, 2024, through March 31, 2025. Commerce has also determined to treat Laos as a non- market economy (NME) in forthcoming proceedings.

   The U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) preliminarily determines that silicon metal from the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Laos) is being, or are likely to be, sold in the United States at less than fair value (LTFV). The period of investigation (POI) is April 1, 2024, through March 31, 2025. Interested parties are invited to comment on this preliminary determination.
